Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
This position is being recruited for at the Contributing level under the Career Banding program. The hiring range is $28,860-$31,200, and the salary grade equivalent is 63.

**Note: This is a Time-Limited position.**

The position requires specific knowledge of developmental cognitive, neuroscience research procedures. Demonstrated experience with developmental cognitive neuroscience techniques is necessary. Proven knowledge of procedures to collect saliva from adults and infants, full working knowledge of the use of a hospital-grade breast pump required. Must be familiar with the EGI electrophysiology system, the Geodesic Photogrammetry system, and the SmartEye eye-tracking system as well as elicited imitation protocols. This position requires the identification of study populations and recruitment of participants, including children, into ongoing studies. Must be IRB and HIPAA trained. Knowledge of the principles of informed consent required. Will have an active role in data collection. Large database management skills required. Demonstrated strong verbal skills, ability to quickly build rapport with families, exceptional organization, and attention to detail are required. Must be able to talk easily on the phone and in person to people from all walks of life. Must have or be able to quickly acquire contacts within the community leadership (i.e. county and city leaders, medical professionals, pastors, and social service personnel) that would facilitate our recruiting efforts. Must know the Kannapolis, Concord, and Charlotte metro area and will need to drive personal vehicle locally to speaking engagements and delivering brochures and posters. Professionalism is a must. A Bachelor's degree in Developmental Psychology or Biology from appropriately accredited institution is required. Must be skilled in interpersonal communication. Must be proficient with Excel, Word, Publisher, and other software as needed. Must be able to work nights and weekends as families require and to recruit at family-oriented functions.

Preferred Qualifications:
Sales and marketing experience is helpful.
